Preserving Our Heritage, Building Our Tomorrow.
Our Kingdom
Nkwoegwu Autonomous Community is part of the wider Ohuhu clan of Umuahia North, rooted in the historic Afugiri homeland and united under the throne of Ezeoha, Uga IV.
The name Nkwoegwu recalls the ancient meeting place where neighbouring clan founders gathered during the annual Egwu festival. From that sacred ground, our people continue to preserve tradition, strengthen community life, and build responsibly for future generations.
